Take our Adventure Wildlife Boat Tour with Jerison in Alter do Chao, Para.

Jerison's Tours have it all, adventure, hiking, animals, relaxation, and good food, all with your private boat and guide.

Visit the white sandy rainforest beaches, try local cuisine, eating at the most picturesque restaurant in Brazil.

Search the canopy with locals for the resident sloths, squirrel monkeys, and birds.

Ride across the huge Rio Tapajos to see the incredible Amazon Victorian Giant Lillies, try the delicious ways they eat them, from, condiments, doughnuts, to popcorn.

Take the trip downriver to the Ribeirinhos, ( Riverside Communities ), see their Rubber Trees and their amazing shop, with jewelry, purses, wallets, bags, table mats, and much more! All handmade and from nature.

Take the 2hr hike up to the largest Samauma Tree in the region, and one of the largest in Amazonia. Walk with the locals and search the canopy for local monkeys and the forest floor for poison arrow frogs.

Finish every day with Jerison, with a sunset over the Rio Tapajos, while the Amazon River Dolphins play in the waters in front of you.

ADVENTURE KAYAK TOURS

You.png

Our Wildlife Kayak Tours with Gabriel are a 5 day tour down the River Urubu, Amazonas.

You will be picked up from your Manuas Hotel, and drove with Gabriel and his friends to the start of River Urubu, near beautiful Presidente Figueiredo.

With you will be 2 - 3 skilled and experienced guides, preparing all your meals and camp, and guiding your along one of the beautiful rivers of Amazonia.

As you paddle downstream with Gabriel and one other guide, your third guide goes ahead in the support boat and makes your lunch or dinner.

Enjoy areas of the river that still remain uninhabited by locals. Paddle up creeks to find hidden waterfalls. Enjoy the sound of toucans, kingfishers and monkeys as you paddle.

The region is home to jaguars, tapirs, otters, pumas, caiman, anaconda, deer, peccaries, sloths, many monkeys, and lots of birds ( eagles, osprey, hawks, macaws, hoatzins, storks, hummingbirds and many more).  All these can be a possible surprise along this river. The rainforest is not a zoo, and the animals are free to move, but no day in the Amazon rainforest is the same as the next, so keep your eyes out!

The trip finishes near to where myself, Gabriel and Marcelo first met in 2016, an area of Rio Urubu, I call home. With a few houses scattered along the river, and a 30 - 80min ride down river by boat to the nearest town, we are in a peaceful place on earth.

Depending on your arranged itinerary, you'll stay a night at the cabana and take the boat back to the nearest town, where you will be greeted with a ride back to your hotel in Manaus.

Options to stay and join Marcelo on fishing tours or myself on Jungle tours are also available too you, should you wish.
