Rio Urubu is a beautiful quiet river away from the big city of Manaus, and we are lucky that our forests North of the river is full of wildlife. Our rivers are famous in Manaus for our sport fishing too! When the river is high in June, local sports fishermen come here to try and catch the famous Tucunare (Peacock Bass).  A lure fishing fish, you can flick your rod out on your private boat and guide, while your guide looks for wildlife along the river bank and treetops.

All year round the river supplies us with Lunch and Dinner, so whatever time of the year you come you will catch something with us.

Our accommodation has private rooms, with double bed and ensuite with shower.

All food is included in the price.

I'm Marcelo's father; Pedro, and I have lived here my entire life. My family proudly lives and works on this river. Community tours with us allow you to live with your family, living in a traditional wooden Amazonas cabana. I live on the south of the river and we harvest fruit, palms, and the famous Amazonas Mandioca, to make Farinha. All year round we have animals and fish around our home. The famous giant Arapiuma / Pirarucu fish live here, Black Piranha, River Dolphins, as well as the resident Red Howler monkeys and Sloths that love our fruit trees.

If you are lucky the Tapir, Jaguar, and Big Caiman too.

I'm Gabriel, a proud Wapishana Indigenous man. Born in the Amazonia region North of Amazonas. I am a traditional hunter and fisherman, using only a bow and arrow as taught by my father. I specialize in Jungle Tours and Kayak Tours along our river. We have various double kayaks where you can join us on a 5-day adventure from the start of Rio Urubu, in Presidente Figueiredo, camping along the river overnight. We stop at various waterfalls and scenic spots along the way.

Our tours have 2-3 trained staff with you at all times, including our support boat that carries all your equipment and food for the trip.

All equipment, transport, and food included in price.

I'm Rio, I've been coming here every year since 2016, this is where I call home, and these are the friends I first met when I got here all the years ago.

Rio Urubu is a magical place, a place of dreams and off the beaten track. It deserves protecting, and that's why the profits from our tours go into our local projects in Conservation, Education, and Reforestation.

My friends have taught me so much over the years and that's what I want to show you in our Jungle Tours. You will join me and one of my friends as we go into the Jungle and make camp at one of our prepared camps. We have a few camps that either have a waterfall or river to wash in and along the way, we will show the medicines, signs of wildlife and identify all the calls and animals that pass us.

We offer a 2-night minimum jungle experience that would see you stay in the Jungle for a night in a hammock at camp 1 or 2 depending on your fitness. We have spent 10 nights on expeditions in remote areas in this forest and have plans to go further in the future. So we will tailor our jungle tour to your inventory.

You can check out the galleries to see videos and photos of what moves around our Jungle, our wildlife won't disappoint if you have the patience and move quietly.

All our Jungle tour prices include all food, mineral water, and boat transport. Hammocks can be provided, if necessary.
