Do you want to see the largest tributary of water into the River Amazonas?

See the famous "Ilha do Amor" and surrounding beaches?

Want a private boat and driver to see it?

Well, Jerison is your man!

His father even runs a lodge to help you out with breakfast and accommodation should you need to.

From the quiet town of Alter do Chao you explore the white sandy beaches North and South of the town.

You will stop for lunch and eat the traditional local cuisine at one of the most picturesque restaurants in Brazil.

Jerison will take you across the River Tapajos to see the Giant Amazon lily pads, you will even get to taste them cooked and prepared using local traditions.

Take another little trip south and you can take a small canoe with locals and paddle under the trees as Squirrel Monkeys run across the branches overhead. Paddling slowly through you have the chance to see resident Sloths, Monkeys, Boa Constrictors, and Birds all competing for the canopy above you.

Then watch the sunset over the Rio Tapajos as an incredible day comes to an end.

But this doesn't have to be the end of your tour with us, head south the following day and enjoy the scenic river views before arriving at one of the local communities. From here you will hike into the jungle with a guide to find some of the biggest Samauma trees found today in the Amazon.

Watch in the canopy as the monkeys pass overhead and keep your eyes on the jungle floor for bright colored Poison Arrow Frogs!

Enjoy the guide's knowledge as he talks about his communities rich history in Rubber Tapping and shows you the famous Rubber Trees.

Awaiting your return, a village chef will have a table waiting for you with your well-deserved lunch made by the local community. After lunch, you can visit the incredible Rubber Tree shop for Jewellery and Handicrafts all made from the local trees.

Whether it's Beaches in the Rainforest, Boat Trips, Animal Encounters, or Rainforest Trekking, Alter do Chao and Jerison can get you to what you came to see.

I've known Jerison for a few years now and he's one of the most patient and relaxed guides I've met, full of knowledge, and likes to ensure you get the most out of your trip.

You will be out till sunset over the Rio Tapajos before he considers taking you home.

The true value in his service.
