A day/night in the nearest town of Lagoa de Confusao, exploring the lake by boat and exploring the local caves.
A day trip out to Ilha Bananal and the indigenous village Aldeia Waotuny.
2 nights Accommodation at Praia Alta
Night Boat Safaris at Praia Alta
Day Safari in Jeep around the region and Fazenda Impredor
Other options include camping within the local communities of Ilha Bananal.
A trip out to Lagoa dos Passaros, only accessible during the dry season.
Visit and witness the "Festa de Hetohoky" in our Indigenous Villages of Santa Isabel and Fontoura. (14th - 21st March 2020)
A trip to 9 Indigenous Villages around the island occurs between June - November.
I've known Raimunda for a few years now and she has to be the most charismatic guide I've ever met. Her energy is amazing, she knows everyone and everyone knows her.
She studies a lot about the wildlife and the region she works in and I loved that I learned so much with her.
I laughed every day and she makes the people around her laugh and smile with her charisma and presence.
Lastly, for those truly interested in the spiritual side of Ilha Bananal, the Indigenous Peoples of the Island have several spirits protecting them and I witnessed some things that still give me goosebumps today and make me dream of Ilha Bananal still till this day.
