Friends of Rio and Amigos do Rio are part of what has been my life's dream to make a difference to the Indigenous People and Small Communities of Brazil.

Since 2014 I've been traveling through Brazil; discovering new places, new cultures, and making new friends.

I've seen 20 of 27 states in Brazil and intend to see all of them by 2022.

The people I truly feel represent the true Brazil, and those I want others to meet are the people on this new site.

Good honest people who work hard, enjoy their work, and are proud of where they live.

I have a lot of other friends who work in accommodation I'd like you to meet later too.

I just need to start the project first to get it all out and free up some headspace before I figure out how to tackle that part!

In 2016 brought the idea of Amazonas Tour Agency which has been running up till the end of last year. The Agency I set up helped an Indigenous Family living along Rio Urubu and a small rural community in Sundao, near to Itacoatiara.

Some of this will now move across to Friends of Rio & Amigos do Rio later this year.

Brazilian Artisan has been running since 2017 and helps my good friend X'Maya and his family. He's been an inspiration to me since we met in 2016. He inspires me with his strength against the discrimination and genocide that goes on around him and that goes on against all Indigenous People today in Brazil.

Brazilian Artisan has an Etsy Store as well as an Instagram account.

In 2019 I opened Memoria Fulni-O on Instagram before X'Maya went around Brazil as part of a Culture Presentation for SESC to show Brazil the culture of the Fulni-O people.

Lastly, the Conservation Project coming later this year will arrive due to the research and time spent in the Jungle along Rio Urubu working with my friends and my community there.

Our Rainforest is rich in wildlife and vegetation and we have been recording this with Photography and Remote Sensor Camera Traps since 2016.

The aim is to have this area someday marked as a protected area and a safe place for the animals and vegetation.

As explained in the Reservation and Availability page we will be funding the coming project with 50% of the Booking deposit and up to 50% of the remaining deposit will go towards other projects that inspire me to protect this earth and the important people who have lived protecting it for 1000's of years before me.
